A bit about us
Founded in 1877 The Royal Plymouth Corinthian Yacht Club has over the years provided a place to go in Plymouth for those among us who love all things to do with sailing and the sea. For many years we occupied a lovely building directly on the waterfront on The Hoe. Times changed and we had to open up the venue to do weddings and functions, as many other businesses had to do. Eventually in 2019, we decided that we needed to re-think and decide what our Yacht Club should be going forward. We sold our building, looked for and found our new premises at 25 The Parade. At the end of 2020 we fully refurbished the building and have proudly opened our doors properly in May 2021. A private members club for like minded people to meet up and socialise, along with their guests and visiting yachtsmen. You don’t need to have a boat to join, it may be that you just love Plymouth and the water. We have indeed turned full circle and gone back to our roots!

Located in the heart of Plymouth with a spectacular backdrop of unrivalled views over Plymouth Sound we have the perfect venue for your wedding day. We are confident you will enjoy some wonderful, lasting memories in a unique and romantic setting.
We appreciate that your wedding day is one of the most special and happy days of your life, and our philosophy is that it should be as important to us as it is to you.
We hold a Civil Wedding Licence, so are able to host your civil ceremony as well as your post-wedding reception and breakfast celebrations. We can accommodate up to 100 people for a seated meal or up to 150 for a buffet, making us the perfect venue for an intimate boutique wedding.
Here at the Corinthian, we want your special day to be just perfect. Our expert team will be on hand to take care of all of your needs and will try their very best to accommodate your wishes too, leaving you to enjoy the occasion in the company of your closest family and friends.

You even have the option to arrive by boat with your guests watching your arrival from the balcony. You can make the most of the stunning Club Rooms and the south-facing balcony for your cherished wedding photographs. Your photographer is sure to be spoilt for choice with such beautiful backdrops at your disposal. We don't work with fixed wedding packages, set menus and minimum numbers; instead, we aim to tailor your day to suit your specific needs and requirements. We strive to give you your perfect day, your way. Our excellent staff will work tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of your big day. Your dedicated, personal wedding planner will be on hand to help you plan the day of your dreams. In addition, our wonderful Chef and his team have menus to suit a variety of tastes and occasions. We can cater for receptions with between 35 and 120 guests. We also have excellent, flexible packages which are available for mid-week weddings and late availability.
